Terms and conditions

These terms govern the use of this platform (www.mentefu.com), an emotional education school. By creating an account you declare that you have read and accept them. Last update: August 24, 2026.

1. What this platform is (and is not)

This is an emotional education school with a gamified format. It is not therapy or treatment: it does not diagnose and does not replace the care of a mental health professional. Belts and achievements recognize personal progress and are not professional certifications. If you feel intense distress or think about harming yourself, seek professional help or call your local emergency line.

2. Your account

• You need a free account to access the training content.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what happens with your account.
• You must be at least 14 years old. If you are under 18, we recommend using the platform with the knowledge of your parents or guardians.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform (unauthorized access attempts, bulk content extraction, impersonation).

3. The content

The content of this school (texts, missions, scrolls, illustrations) is protected by copyright. You may use it for your personal process; you may not reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit it without written permission.

4. Personal data processing (Colombian Law 1581 of 2012)

This section is our data processing policy under Colombia’s Statutory Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013 (habeas data regime), which apply to this platform wherever you use it from.

Data controller: the owner of the brand. Contact for personal data matters: the channel on the contact page.

Data we collect: name, email, country, phone (optional), password (stored hashed), your progress in the school (missions, XP, belts, achievements, the reflections you write) and your usage activity (which contents you open and when).

Purposes. We use your data exclusively to:

1. Create and maintain your account and keep your progress on all your devices.
2. Communicate with you only for purposes related to the use of the platform: account confirmations, password recovery, notices about your progress or about changes to the service.
3. Understand, in aggregate, which contents work and improve them.

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we will not send you commercial communications unrelated to the platform.

Where it is stored: in Supabase (cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest). By using the platform you authorize that international transfer under the provider’s safeguards.

Your rights as data subject (article 8, Law 1581 of 2012): to know, update and rectify your data; to request proof of your authorization; to be informed about how it has been used; to file complaints before Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce; to revoke your authorization and request the deletion of your data when there is no legal duty to keep it.

How to exercise them: write to us through the contact channel from your registration email. We will answer queries within 10 business days and claims within 15 business days, as the law establishes. Deleting your account removes your profile, your progress and your activity record.

Retention: we keep your data while your account exists. If you request deletion, it is removed unless a legal obligation requires keeping it.

5. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is substantial, we will announce it on the platform before it takes effect. The date of the latest version appears at the top.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.
